ABOUT BALAZS F.

Currently I am working as a full time lead developer, maintaining software written in Delphi and transforming our systems to a cloud based solution. The maintained technologies include various versions of Delphi (2007, XE4, XE5, 10.4), MySQL and MSSQL. Newer systems use Ptyhon, Django, Git, PostgreSQL and a number of AWS and Azure technologies. The latest stacks include Node.js, Typescript, MongoDB, SQLite and Prisma.I have been around computers ever since I was 12. Dealing with computers and helping other people with them came naturally to me. As a consequence of this, I started to work in such areas after achieving my Bsc EE degree. I have over 20 years of professional experience in various IT related activities and also several years in leadership. My former jobs consisted of testing, support, development, coordinating IT tasks (which accompany software development) with my Team.In a previous employment, I was the leader of 10 people providing support and operation services. The team has evolved into a spirited, full-fledged and independently improving group. A nice outcome of this is that the team still excelled for years after my departure.My earlier role also included the regular handling of technical escalations; both in and out of hours. Furthermore, I was representing the EMEA region in daily technical meetings (conference calls) with US HQ partners.As a secondary job, in my free time, I am maintaining programs written by me in Delphi.My hobbies include electronics, DIY and playing the drums.Specialties: Delphi and Python programming, technical support, knowledge transfers, troubleshooting, testing, automation, high availability (HA) and fault tolerant systems, computer networks
