Balaji is currently a Product Leader with Amazon, leading a team that drives innovation through AI based pricing and supply optimization algorithms.He was previously MD of Rocket Internet venture in Asia, where he managed a tech venture leading a team of 50 people. This venture was ranked among the top 2 ventures in the segment in the country.He did his MBA in INSEAD Business School(ranked 1st in Financial Times Global B-School rankings). In INSEAD, he has taken courses on Corporate Finance, Negotiations, Operations, Marketing and strategy.Prior INSEAD, Balaji was a maritime professional. He has managed ship\'s operations across 36 countries, working with diverse multinational teams.During his 9 years tenure with Anglo Eastern Ship Management Ltd, Balaji has worked in container ships, bulk carriers, oil tankers and LPG carriers. He headed deck department and cargo operations in ships.In his career, Balaji has sharpened his leadership abilities, multicultural team skills, problem solving abilities and communication skills.
