Madras-born, raised in Bombay, Bangalore and Lagos, graduated medical school in 1985. Rotating British Commonwealth internship at the San Fernando General Hospital, Trinidad and MPH in MCH from the UAB School of Public Health, Birmingham, AL, 1988. Physician and public health champion for decades. BC in Pediatrics 1991 and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine 1995. Advocate for global health and equity, volunteered (19••••18) in Europe, Asia and Africa on several projects committed to the health of women and children. Castle Connolly \"Top Doc\" 20••••22, won numerous teaching and service awards for Quality, Mentorship, Advocacy and Excellence in Patient Safety and Outcomes. While global a citizen, committed to local communities serving Silicon Valley on the Board of Directors of the Valley Health Foundation, served as the 22nd President of the California Association of Neonatologists, volunteer for the March of Dimes 19••••19, advocate for a variety of Preventive Public Health causes including universal newborn hearing screening, Folate supplementation in the US grain supply, Screening for Critical Congenital Heart disease at a state, national and international level and ensuring health insurance in the US for underserved women and children.> 30 year California residents, based, permanently, in Los Angeles, committed to a variety of charities, believe in Peter Singer\'s Philosophy of Giving and the Patient Safety Movement established in Orange County.
