Bala A Kumar is a seasoned Board Advisor, Global Supply Chain and Transformation Leader, with over 40 years of international leadership experience across manufacturing, technology, telecom, and healthcare sectors. He has held senior leadership roles with ABB, Motorola, Tyco/Covidien, Bharti Airtel, and NXP, with deep operational and governance exposure across Asia, ANZ, Europe, and emerging markets. He has served as Managing Director of Precision Interconnect India and Isansys Healthcare India, and as a Board Member of Motorola Mobility Chennai (then a Google company). His board and executive experience spans strategy formulation, large-scale transformation, governance, risk management, and operating model excellence in complex, multi-geography environments.Bala has led greenfield and brownfield manufacturing initiatives, including the setup of green manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru for Motorola and Tyco Healthcare, overseeing government engagement, regulatory compliance, leadership hiring, vendor ecosystems, quality systems, and end-to-end operations. He has also led manufacturing plant transfers and established international procurement offices, strengthening supply chain resilience and cost competitiveness.A strong advocate of Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and digital enablement, Bala brings a pragmatic, execution-oriented perspective to the boardroom. He is widely respected for his ability to bridge strategy and execution, guide leadership teams through change, and build sustainable organizational capability.In addition to his board and advisory roles, Bala is an Executive Coach and Visiting Professor, mentoring CXOs and emerging leaders.
