ABOUT BAILEY COWDEN
I am a senior at Florida State University pursuing degrees in Criminology and English (Editing, Writing, and Media), with a minor in Psychology. As a proud first-generation college student and member of the CARE program, I’ve grounded my academic and professional journey in service, opportunity, and community impact.Currently, I serve as a Law Clerk in the Office of the General Counsel at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, where I support attorneys in the Division of Hotels and Restaurants. My responsibilities include drafting legal memos, conducting research, and assisting with regulatory enforcement. I previously interned full-time with the Leon County Public Defender’s Office, where I gained hands-on experience in indigent defense and investigative work.These experiences have strengthened my commitment to pursuing a legal career focused on advocacy and public service. I’m especially passionate about expanding access to justice and hope to connect with professionals who share those values.
