About Bailey Hughes

Bailey Hughes is an experienced investor with nearly a decade of finance experience. He co-founded HGS Partners in 2024 to focus on partnering with high-quality services companies and driven entrepreneurs.Bailey grew up in San Diego and attended University of Southern California. After graduating early with a degree in Business Administration (summa cum laude), Bailey went on to earn his Master’s degree from USC’s Leventhal School of Accounting.Bailey started his career as an investment banking analyst at Houlihan Lokey in their Financial Restructuring Group. He then transitioned to private equity, joining LightBay Capital, where he most recently served as a Principal.During his time at LightBay Capital, Bailey invested in service-based companies, partnering with driven entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, and sophisticated management teams to accelerate their growth. While in private equity, Bailey was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, execution, and portfolio value creation, and led or participated in deals representing over $2bn in transaction value. He also served on the Board of Directors of Clarion Home Services Group, a provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services across the U.S, and Infinity Home Services Group, a national provider of residential roof and other exterior home services.Away from work, Bailey enjoys playing & watching tennis, traveling & experiencing new places with his fiancée, and visiting the best restaurants in Los Angeles.
