About Bailey McGowan

Bailey McGowan is hands-on problem solver who prides herself on comprehensive and empathetic representation to her clients with issues relating to government contracts, construction law, and business litigation. As a former public defender, Bailey has first-chaired more than a dozen jury trials ranging from second-degree felonies to petty misdemeanors. Bailey grew up as the daughter and granddaughter of Air Force pilots and uses her knowledge and unique perspective to help clients navigating the world of government contracts. Bailey represents companies on a variety of areas of government contracts including bid protests, suspension and debarment matters, corporate compliance, internal investigations, mandatory disclosures and False Claims Act (FCA) defense. Bailey also supports client\'s construction law matters including mechanics liens. Clients can also rely on her experience and empathetic approach in all stages of litigation from drafting to depositions to arbitration or other alternative dispute resolutions. Before joining the firm, Bailey was a law clerk for the U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Abilene, Texas. She was also the first attorney waived in to practice law in Florida under the military spouse rule, which enabled her to provide counsel to indigent clients in both misdemeanor and civil commitment proceedings – a passion Bailey continues to pursue. Her past experience as a journalist gives her a creative outlook on legal topics and the implications of judicial decisions. When she\'s not working, she can be found on the lyra practicing circus arts, the Katy Trail training for a half marathon, or researching her latest history obsession - currently the French Revolution to Napoleon.
