   Overview:Disrupting Poverty with Computer LabsWe are Technologically Literate Africa, also known as TechLit Africa. We teach self-efficacy through digital skills in rural African schools. We believe that the internet could lessen African poverty, but rural Africans lack digital skills and computers to gain from the digital economy, even though developed countries have an abundance of used computers.We run vertically-integrated computer classes in rural African schools with used computers. In 2021, we ran a successful pilot program: we expanded to 10 computer labs in rural Kenya, serving over students. In 2022, we plan to open another 100 computer labs in Kenya to serve another students.Contribution as board member:I have already worked with TechLit Africa in the past concerning how to create STEAM programs, project based learning, and the philosophy behind creating effective learning environments. As a board member, I now get to contribute more continuously and learn the needs of TechLit Africa as they come up so that I can offer advice/solutions in advance. I can also offer access to my network which can offer more support to our overall cause of educating kids for the world of tomorrow. Creating STEAM programs and STEAM labs is what I do, and I\'m excited to offer that element to TechLit Africa!
