About Badri Velamur Asokan
At Two Sigma, I lead the data productionalization initiative. My team is responsible for making all non-financial data available to our trading models. We setup 100s of data pipelines every year, develop and maintain the platform infrastructure for them, and support of data pipelines overall.Prior to this, I was at ExxonMobil where I led technology for the most profitable division with 70K employees. I held various roles in operations, Software Engineering, and Machine learning. My teams solved some of the most difficult oil & gas problems using ML, AI, predictive stats and strengths in C++, parallel computing, Python and Agile/Lean. Education: Cornell University, Indian Institute of Technology, University of North Carolina.
