   As one of the founding members of the Azure Cloud Server Infrastructure team (CSI), I helped build the business and financial case for in-house server design, the server development model and ODM/Supply chain pipeline, and the team for FW development and architecture from ground up.• Defined the firmware team vision and strategy and implemented internal processes and pipelines to execute on that vision. • Hired 100+ top talented engineers and managers from the industry and colleges to build a highly effective team.• Delivered four generations of Azure Servers: Haswell, BroadWell, SkyLake, and CascadeLake that are fulfilling 90% of all Azure capacity. • Created a center for excellence and innovation resulting in 100s of patents and dozens of academic papers published by the team. Some of the cutting-edge features that have been productized are:1. NVDIMM-SW: storage class persistent memory using DRAM, local battery, and regular SSD 2.Server JTAG remote debugging over Ethernet fabric to provide a data center debug capability without requiring manual tools or physical presence 3. Overprovisioning power through power capping at server, rack, row, and DC level while meeting 20ms latency requirement. This feature has a huge impact Flash usage optimization for specialized cloud Scenarios4. Proposal for a new SSD architecture that is more scalable and flexible for cloud workloads5. Hardware security: Proposed Cerberus, a new standard for a hardware Root Of Trust (ROT) • Led and contributed to the HW manageability team in Open Compute Project, including: 1. giving multiple keynotes and presentations2.lead the OCP hardware manageability standardization around Redfish3. contributing IP and source code collateral for the open source initiative for OCP
