ABOUT BADHRI NARAYANAN

I am an HR and Recruitment Specialist, with over 8 years of experience in client and community engagement, employer relations, and full-cycle recruitment. I hold an MBA from the University of Northern British Columbia and a Human Resources Management Certificate from Simon Fraser University, along with designations as a Certified Career Strategist (CCS) and Certified Resume Strategist (CRS). My expertise includes conducting workshops, public speaking, and fostering positive stakeholder relationships.In my role as Client and Community Liaison at Back in Motion Employment Services, I support employment programs, develop recruitment strategies, and facilitate job placements for diverse populations, including skilled immigrants. I began my career as a Senior Recruitment Consultant at GVS Infotech Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, India, where I directed a team of three HR recruiters for major clients such as HCL, TCS, Sutherland Global Services, Infosys, and Cognizant, focusing on IT roles. I successfully established and led the Technology Recruitment division in Chennai and Delhi, expanding the company’s presence in software development and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) talent acquisition. My role involved utilizing diverse sourcing channels to build a pipeline of qualified candidates and overseeing the complete recruitment lifecycle, from initial outreach to offer negotiation and acceptance.Since 2019, I have been on the Board of Directors for Positive Living North, contributing to strategic decisions and advocating for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. My contributions include leadership roles, recruiting executive directors, community advocacy, and fundraising for essential programs.In addition to my volunteer work, I have participated in significant committees, including the Dean Search Committee for the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). In this capacity, I contributed to a comprehensive recruitment process for the next Dean, helping to develop evaluation criteria, job descriptions, and interview questions while ensuring a fair selection process that prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion.I also served as the Marketing Manager for Mackenzie Kerr, a political candidate for the Green Party of Canada in the Cariboo-Prince George region. I led the marketing and communications strategy for the campaign, significantly increasing brand visibility and voter engagement through targeted outreach and innovative digital marketing campaigns.
