ABOUT BABIKER HAMID
Started my early career in a consultancy company as a project engineer for a mega pipeline project (Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Programme), featuring the construction of a tunnel approximately 40 km long which is designed to collect the wastewater of the island and mainland of Abu Dhabi by means of gravity and direct them to the treatment plant, the project includes pipelines installation, structures for sewage treatment plants and pumping/lifting stations,with complex coordination between Design and site team. I transitioned from working with a client to an in-house role at Joseph Gallagher Ltd UK (JGL), a leading tunnelling contractor. This transition marked a significant shift, allowing me to apply my skills and ideas directly within a design and implementation framework.
