I am the Founder & CEO of Selene Bio-Nano Robotics, a UCSD spinout developing enzyme-powered nanorobots to disrupt persistent biofilm infections in dentistry. Our first application targets root canal disinfection, where conventional methods often fail due to anatomical complexity and bacterial resistance.We are engineering peroxide-propelled nanomachines that navigate complex canal geometries, penetrate dentinal tubules, and mechanically disrupt biofilm without requiring physical retrieval. This technology, developed in partnership with Dr. Joseph Wang’s lab at UC San Diego, is the first of its kind to apply nanorobotic precision to dental infection control.My role includes licensing and IP strategy, SBIR grant preparation, pitch deck development, and early-stage fundraising.
