Hey! I’m Bala, a software engineer who loves building things that find stuff fast. My happy place is somewhere between search systems, databases, and high-performance backends, anything that involves indexing, querying, and squeezing out every millisecond of latency.I’ve built and optimized large-scale search platforms at J.P. Morgan, working with Spring Boot, Python, Rust, and ElasticSearch, and I’ve spent way too many nights digging into Lucene internals just to understand how it really works. I also tinker with Rust-based search engines, contribute to open-source projects like Meilisearch and InfluxDB, and blog about how search and indexing actually work under the hood.If it’s about systems, performance, or data, I’m probably already experimenting with it.
