About B. Ashleigh Guadagnolo

Dr. Ashleigh Guadagnolo is a Professor of Radiation Oncology and the Section Chief of Sarcoma/Melanoma Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Deputy Department Chair of Faculty Support in Radiation Oncology. She has 19 years of experience treating sarcoma and melanoma in a large academic hospital. She is fellowship-trained in health services research with a published track record in health care utilization, health care delivery for vulnerable populations, patient navigation, survey research, cost-effectiveness and large databse research. She is passionate about health equity. She is a published author on numerous clinical studies and recently chaired the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) first Clinical Practice Guideline for soft tissue sarcoma in adults. Dr. Guadagnolo has served on several national committees including: National Academies of Science Engineering Medicine Committee to Develop a National Strategy for Cancer Control, MEDCAC, and others. She is the Chief Medical Officer-ad interim for the practice plan (Physician Referral Service/PRS) for MD Anderson Cancer Center and Chair of the Retirement Board for MD Anderson’s faculty supplemental retirement trust. She is a board certified radiation oncologist and a Fellow of the American Society of Radiation Oncology (FASTRO).
