Our program is deeply integrated across three ambulatory surgery centers in New York City and supported by a vast network of 30+ podiatrists and fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons.Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is a 350-bed tertiary teaching hospital that has continuously served Brooklyn for 136 years since 1889 and proudly stands as the official teaching hospital of Weill Cornell Medical College. With over emergency department patient visits annually, there’s an exceptional clinical exposure to a wide range of cases—from routine to urgent to the highly complex.The majority of our elective procedures are performed at Gramercy Surgery Center—New York, ranked the #1 surgery center in the nation, offering us an environment that prepares us to excel as efficient and competent surgeons.The program offers a dedicated weekly pediatric podiatry clinic—one of the few in the country that sees dozens of children every week. This unique exposure ensures residents are trained in pediatric pathology, producing well-rounded clinicians and surgeons who competent in treating conditions of the foot and leg from infancy.In addition, our program offers a rare and invaluable learning experience through direct, hands-on training with two board-certified orthotist. Their day-to-day involvement ensures that we gain a deep, practical understanding of foot orthotics—from biomechanical assessment to custom fabrication—equipping us with advanced skills that few residency programs provide.As the highest-paying residency program in New York City, with resident salaries exceeding and over 50 paid days off for vacation, personal, holiday, sick, and educational time.
