ABOUT AZNYDA YAAKUB
Aznyda is a Legal Counsel in PETRONAS and currently based in London, United Kingdom. She is now focusing on legal compliance matters particularly in the areas of competition, sanctions & export control, ethics & integrity (anti-bribery & corruption; anti-money laundering; human rights), privacy & data protection for PETRONAS’ operations in the UK, Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States and Sub-Saharan Africa. She is a licensed Company Secretary under Malaysian laws and certified Industrial Relations practitioner by the Malaysian Employers Federation. She was previously in Malaysia Petroleum Management, PETRONAS Upstream Business; Commercial and Retail for PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad; and Gas & Power, both in PETRONAS Downstream Business. Prior to joining PETRONAS, Aznyda practised as an Advocate and Solicitor in Kuala Lumpur in criminal and civil practice. She started her career as a Deputy Public Prosecutor/Federal Counsel at the Attorney General’s Chambers, attached to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Aznyda holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 11 September 2011.
