During my shadowing experience with a cardiologist at Midwest Cardiology Associates, I had the opportunity to observe various aspects of cardiovascular care. I gained invaluable insights into patient consultations, diagnostic procedures, treatment planning, and patient follow-up. Highlights included witnessing echocardiograms, where I saw firsthand how ultrasound technology assesses cardiac structure and function, and observing stress tests to evaluate cardiovascular fitness under exertion. These experiences deepened my understanding of the meticulous approach to cardiovascular care, from initial assessment to personalized treatment plans. I am eager to apply the knowledge gained to my future pursuits in healthcare, aiming to contribute to advancements in cardiology and enhance patient outcomes.
