ABOUT AZIZ DEEN
Legal 500 accredited \"Leading Associate\" in Islamic Finance.Views and posts entirely my own.Aziz is a real estate specialist with a particular focus on Islamic finance transactions. He acts for financial institutions in connection with senior, stretch senior and mezzanine debt structures, secured against commercial or high value residential property. To date, Aziz has dealt with the acquisition or financing of more than £800m worth of UK real estate. His career highlight to date involved advising a West End investment bank on a multi-tranche, multi-million pound, portfolio refinance of seven high value investment assets located in central London. The matter had a tight deadline and was particularly complex (owing in part to an offshore corporate holding structure) but Aziz put his legal knowledge and commercial awareness to the test to help the client achieve their desired outcomes whilst minimising risk exposure.A passionate social activist, Aziz has been awarded for his social action work by the Faith and Belief Forum at the Houses of Parliament, appeared on the BBC’s Question Time talking about racial and class issues, and has founded a charity aimed at alleviating the suffering of the homeless in Bristol.Aziz is a First class graduate from the prestigious University of Manchester and scored a Distinction in all modules on his MSc at the University of Law.https://lnkd.in/eG5v8gxW - Mentee Formhttps://lnkd.in/erHVZKRV - Mentor Form
