As a Global Freight Procurement Strategist, my main responsibility is to develop successful procurement strategies for various transportation modes. I lead the RFI and RFQ processes for industries such as oil and energy, engineering procurement and construction, infrastructure, government organizations, and NGOs.As the primary point of contact, I manage all stakeholders, including business leaders in Legal and Risk Management, HSE, Quality Processes, Subcontractor Management, and Trade Managers for Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and small parcels, in the development of RFQs.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS :Through effective collaboration with trade lane managers, I successfully secured a major oil and gas account by negotiating the best ocean freight rates, generating over $5 million in revenue.In another instance, I played a critical role in winning a contract for a large LNG plant in the Pacific Ocean. Working alongside multiple team members, we developed a comprehensive proposal that addressed technical, legal, and risk management concerns. As the lead for the commercial aspect, I studied the client\'s material list and conducted extensive technical and commercial research to identify the most effective multimodal transportation routes. By consolidating parcels with similar readiness dates and regions, I also reduced the client\'s freight costs.In addition, I developed a comprehensive commercial and technical plan for a large come drum, resulting in a contract award from a well-respected international oil company.Finally, I contributed significantly to winning a contract for a reputable energy company to transport two of the largest BOPs from the US Gulf Coast to the Far East by presenting an appealing commercial offer and a detailed technical plan.
