ABOUT AZALEA BUCH

Helping people help people\", has been the foundation of my career and drive thus far. Giving people the necessary tools to initiate sustainable change in a world that is ever-changing. As a Master of Public Policy candidate at UC San Diego\'s School of Global Policy and Strategy, I am turning the dial and continuing my education to develop technical capabilities in the scope of quantitative research and development metrics. Educational Focus: I am pursuing a Master of Public Policy with a focus on international security and comparative business practice. I will use the acquired skillsets to enhance humanitarian policies and economic impact. With a solid foundation in International Economics and Finance from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Southern Maine, I am passionate about driving meaningful change through strategic program development and international collaboration. Professional Background: My track record demonstrates invaluable experience in the non-profit sector with experiences ranging from consulting, volunteer and internship program development, stakeholder communication, and mission-driven outreach through culturally specific lenses. My focus within this sector has been driven by my passion for humanitarian aid and intervention. Analytical capabilities: I possess intermediate data management skills, with particular attention to Excel and software programs such as R and STATA to achieve insights and organize data from a variety of datasets and methodologies. Language capabilities: I am bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages and use them interchangeably.
