About Azajah Green

Azajah Green is a graduating senior political science major at Spelman College on the pre-law track, where she has distinguished herself through academic excellence and sustained leadership. She is the co-founder and president of Spelman Black Girls Vote and serves as Vice President of the Spelman College Pre-Alumnae Council, where she leads initiatives focused on student engagement, service, and leadership development. She has built a strong foundation in legislative and legal work through internships across government, nonprofit, and policy spaces. As an incoming Braven Capitol Hill Fellow, she will conduct federal policy analysis, draft legislative materials, and collaborate with congressional staff on issues related to equity, housing, and justice reform. Her previous experience includes roles with the Atlanta City Council and the City of Atlanta Department of Law, where she contributed to legislative drafting, legal research, and policy analysis, including work on affordable housing initiatives. She has also conducted criminal justice research with Measures for Justice, supported judicial and civic efforts through the 21st Century Leadership Movement, and engaged in legal training through various internships. Across these roles, she has developed strengths in legal writing, case analysis, and translating complex policy issues into actionable solutions. Beyond her professional experience, Azajah has led and contributed to multiple civic engagement initiatives, including fellowships with Students for Voting Justice and the Transformative Justice Coalition, where she worked on voter mobilization and criminal justice reform advocacy. Her work is grounded in a commitment to addressing systemic inequities and expanding access to opportunity. Azajah plans to pursue a career as a legislative attorney, where she aims to shape policies that create more equitable systems and improve access to justice.

I manage committees including academic liaisons, regional directors, PAC liaisons, and community service chairs, ensuring programs run smoothly and achieve their objectives. Through this role, I help prepare students for lifelong alumnae involvement while fostering opportunities for professional growth, service, and leadership on campus.
