ABOUT AZADEH A.
Azadeh is a mechanical engineer with specializing in computational thermo-fluid analysis (CFD) and experimental test method (PIV). She has strong knowledge of pharmaceutical aerosol science (aerosol in medicine) and respiratory fluid mechanics. Her work involves the implementation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and medical image processing. This connected interest comes from her background in mechanical and aerodynamics engineering. She employs ANSYS Fluent, ICEM CFD, CFD-Post, FieldView, SolidWorks, Geomagic Design X and Mimics (Materialise) to develop new drug delivery medical device (pMDIs, DPIs and nebulizers). She has extensive experience about transmission of aerosol infectious disease and focuses onnumerically modeling of transport of virus-containing aerosols in human respiratory tract. She has used CFD technique and machine learning algorithm to develop patient-specific multiscale computational models that can predict the deposition of inhaled aerosols in all regions of the respiratory system of individuals that are either healthy or suffering from respiratory disease.Currently, she is studying lung function and upper airway dynamics in space.URL to complete bibliography: & hl=en & authuser=1Growing up in Iran as a woman and completing her PhD in just three years made overcoming challenges, problem solving, adaptability, and embracing diversity her best friends, shaping them into her greatest strengths. She is always open to meet new professional contacts.
