About Ayushman Mathur
I am a 2nd year MBA Student at Arizona State University and I will be graduating in May 2021. I’m doing specialization in Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics. Moving forward, I want to leverage my passion for supply chain and knowledge of MBA to thrive in today’s fast-paced and dynamic business environment. My professional journey started when I graduated from one of the best Engineering colleges in India, IIT ISM Dhanbad in 2016. During the college days, I got fascinated with entrepreneurship, and immediately after my college, without any formal business education or family background in Business, I took the courageous move of starting my own eCommerce store of Handicrafts and Artificial Jewelry. I was responsible for end to end execution, ranging from procuring the raw materials at competitive prices to leading a small manufacturing unit and up until planning the delivery of final products to the end customer. I lead a team of 8 people and developed a base of loyal customers by going above and beyond their expectations. Following my passion for Supply Chain, I interned with two companies this summer:1) As a Strategy and Operations intern at Enterprise Technology Alliance, A logistics solution provider based out of San Marcos, CA. I conducted Make vs. Buy analysis and cross-functionally collaborated with different teams to provide substantial inputs to the growth strategy plan for scaling up the annual revenues of the company multiple folds without any major disruption or operational inefficiencies. I particularly liked in the internship that I got a chance to present my findings to senior leadership regularly and I also got a chance to leverage my analytical skills for carrying out the Make vs. Buy analysis.2) As a Farm to Foodbank Supply Chain intern at Food Supply Chain Coalition, a coalition formed among senior logistics team of Google, Feeding America(largest food hunger-relief organization in US), and Top Supply Chain Universities in US. I worked on fixing the broken food supply chain that potentially affected 60 Million food-insecure people in US after COVID-19 breakout. The best thing about this internship was that I got a chance to work with people from highly diverse backgrounds and work on a problem that had a high-level social impact. In both the internships, I learned how to solve complex business problems and motivate the whole team to inspire results. Moving forward, I am excited to grow further in the supply chain function and help my team grow and succeed.
