Hello! My name is Ayush Kumar, and I am a currently pursuing Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Florida. Previously, I earned my Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.I have worked as a Software Engineer at Hike, for over two years, where I have contributed to the development of their real-money gaming platform, Rush, and social networking platform, Vibe. In Rush, I built core platform microservices, the framework for horizontal scaling, and developed bots and simulation clients. In Vibe, I implemented critical microservices, Kafka pipelines, and scripts for campaigns. I have also contributed to the Hike Messenger messaging platform, where I introduced an event-queue-based asynchronous mechanism that reduced purchase latency by 80%.In addition to my work experience, I have also worked on several academic projects, including implementing a Chord Peer-to-Peer System, designing an algorithm based on the Gossip protocol, implementing a twitter-like engine using Erlang actor model, and implementing a fault-tolerant distributed in-memory key-value store supporting leader election and log-replication.I have a wide range of technical skills, including expertise in languages such as Java, Python, Erlang, and C++, as well as databases such as MongoDB and MySQL. I am also proficient in several libraries and tools, including Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Git, among others.I have been recognized for my skills as a competitive programmer, with several honors and awards to my name, including qualifying for Google CodeJam multiple times, securing top ranks in several coding contests, and publishing over 90 articles on Data structures and algorithms with more than 100k page visits.
