Project for Bissel Centre who work with the City of Edmonton• Leading the full-stack development of a scalable digital bus-pass management system using Next.js, TypeScript, Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions), and Tailwind CSS, streamlining distribution and tracking of ARC transit cards for 100+ community members.• Architecting and managing a secure and optimized Firestore database, designing custom collections and security rules, and ensuring efficient data queries through strategic indexing, reducing manual administrative workload significantly.• Implementing robust testing practices by integrating unit and integration tests with Jest and end-to-end tests with Playwright, enhancing software reliability and reducing potential production issues.Collaborating cross-functionally with developers, stakeholders, and administrative staff, performing regular code reviews, managing agile sprint planning, and clearly documenting technical processes, contributing to accelerated development cycles and smooth project delivery.
