ABOUT AYUSH KUMAR
I used to keep airplanes flying at Air India using SQL; now I’m at Purdue teaching AI models not to hallucinate.I am an MS in Business Analytics (MSBAIM) student who believes data is only as good as the impact it creates. Whether it is increasing aircraft readiness by 20% or predicting corporate bankruptcy with 94% accuracy, I build systems that solve expensive problems. Most recently, I architected a DeBERTa-based NLP pipeline to catch LLMs lying (hallucinating), which secured Rank 1 in the Data4Good National Competition. I also topped the leaderboard in a Kaggle challenge by building a stacking ensemble so robust it could probably predict what I’m having for dinner.Languages & Tools: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, PySpark, TensorFlow, Keras), SQL, R, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, KNIME, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Apache, Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux, ExcelData Science & Analytics: Deep Learning, LLMs, Predictive Modeling, Time-Series Forecasting, Simulation, Optimization, A/B Testing, ETL Processes, Data Pipeline Automation,Hypothesis Testing, Agile & Scrum Methodology | Looker | ETL | PipelinesCertifications: Azure AI Fundamentals | AWS Cloud Practitioner & AI Practitioner | Power BI Data Analyst Associate | SAS Essentials AI & SQL Certified | DataCamp Associate Data Scientist | DataCamp Python & SQL When I am not burying myself in documentation or debugging code, I am usually trekking, exploring new hobbies, or trying to explain to my dog Winny why I can’t play fetch because my model is still training.I am open to Summer 2026 internships in Data Science, Data Engineering, or BI. If you are looking for someone who takes their data seriously but themselves less so, let’s chat.
