ABOUT AYUSH KASHYAP

My journey in the field of rural development and socio-economic empowerment has been shaped by diverse and enriching experiences that have equipped me with a deep understanding of grassroots challenges and innovative solutions. From academic projects to professional engagements, I have consistently sought to contribute to the upliftment of rural communities, particularly in Bihar. My passion for this field is driven by a commitment to creating sustainable and inclusive growth opportunities for marginalised populations. As a Supervisor at the SAAHAS, India, I am involved in the implementation of Bio Gas Scheme in Osomania University, which was the replication of the Bowenpally Bio Gas Plant ( PM discussed in his Mann Ki Bat). My responsibilities include supervision of the works, liasinoing with stakeholders including government officials. This role has deepened my expertise in sustainable energy solutions and give me a lot of learning. As a Development Organiser at the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme, India (AKRSPI), I am involved in the Solar Powered Irrigation Scheme in collaboration with the Bihar Rural Livelihood Support Mission. My responsibilities include enhancing the skills of community resource persons, community mobilisation, managing MIS and documentation, and leading the implementation of 40 biogas plants. This role has deepened my expertise in sustainable energy solutions and community-led development initiatives. At Trans Rural Agri Consulting Services (TRUAGRICO), I focused on the status and scope of agriculture marketing in Bihar. Mapping existing marketing practices for paddy, wheat, and mustard provided me with insights into the complexities of agricultural supply chains and the potential for improving market access for farmers. This experience reinforced my understanding of agricultural economics and the need for effective marketing strategies to boost farmers\' incomes. My engagement with the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (JEEVIKA) through the Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana further honed my skills in business planning and livelihood promotion. I developed a business plan for a broom livelihood cluster and documented five case studies of individual households. This project emphasized the importance of tailored, community-specific interventions to enhance rural livelihoods.
