Currently working as an HSE Field Compliance Coordinator, I support Aramco Downstream business with strategic HSE process development, implementation and verifications. This expat assignment helps nurture the current process to maturity.Previously, I have been responsible for managing safe work, and contractor HES within other petrochemical and refinery operations in 4 continents (North and South America, Europe, Asia). I perform safety audits, conduct accident investigations. I support HES activities in 4 chemical manufacturing plants and 2 technological facilities.In the past, I have managed two distinct HSE roles:1. HSE support for the construction of mobile and stationary land based drilling rigs. Manage personnel safety and training requirements. Review MOCs, energy isolation procedure etc.2. HSE controls during drilling at diverse sites. Assist drilling superintendent and managers on HSE aspects associated to well development and completions. Assist engineers in preparing the technical safety reports, specifications, drawings and acquisition of materials to recommended standards. I also do participate in design reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, PHA). With over 9 years Safety Engineering experience, I have undertaken the following- The incorporation of process safety during the design and construction of drilling rigs- Safety supervision during well development and completion. Preparing technical safety reports- Safety supervision for the construction of thermal power plants of 88 MW and 85 MW- HSE project management for the construction of a 75 miles long 225KV transmission line and- The refurbishment of the spill way in a hydro power plant. I have offered diverse HSE trainings to workers and have been involved in conducting quantitative risk assessments. My environmental science background also permitted me to coordinate 5 major EIA and 40 environmental baseline assessments. Other projects managed include asbestos abatement in old facilities; inventory, analysis and elimination of transformer oils, rags and soil contaminated with Poly Chlorinated Biphenyls (PCB); hazardous waste management; and ISO 14001 consistent audits of power plants in Hungary, Netherlands, Nigeria, and Cameroon.
