ABOUT AYTAC BASARAN

I build factories, teams and systems that last.Over the past 25 years I have worked across some of the most demanding production environments in the food and beverage industry from large scale breweries in Turkey to greenfield soft drink facilities in the UK. My career has been defined by taking on the hardest challenges: starting from nothing, building from scratch, and delivering results that stand up long after I have moved on.Most recently, I joined a greenfield site in Derby as the fourth person on site and helped build it into a fully operational, IFS-certified factory producing several hundred million bottles per year. We commissioned 4 high-speed PET lines and a fully automated high-bay warehouse, achieved 99.8% delivery performance in our first peak season, and delivered the best IFS audit score across five Schwarz Production group factories. The organisational model we created in Derby was later adopted as a benchmark across the group.Before that, I spent over a decade at Efes Pilsen, where I led production and quality operations at scale, managed teams of up to 450 people, and delivered continuous improvements in efficiency, quality and cost.I am equally comfortable on the shopfloor and in the boardroom.
