ABOUT AYSHEH ALRFOOH
With over 5 years of experience in epigenetic research using experimental and computational approaches, I am a scientist who is passionate about unraveling the molecular mechanisms of complex diseases and translating them into novel drug targets and biomarkers. Currently, I work as a scientist, bioinformatics at Diagonal Therapeutics, where I apply my expertise in next-generation sequencing, RNAseq analysis, and single cell gene expression analysis to support the development of innovative therapeutics for rare genetics diseases. In my previous roles, I have successfully conducted several projects that investigated how epigenetic changes in individuals are linked to specific neuropsychiatric disorders such as cocaine addiction, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and suicidal behavior. I have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and received several honors and scholarships for my academic excellence and research impact. I also have a certificate in biostatistics and proficient skills in R and Python programming.
