ABOUT AYSE AY

I am a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Nanoengineering with a year of industrial experience in inhaler formulation and process development. My work experience includes working in multinational companies and cutting-edge laboratories. I am passionate about combining chemical engineering and materials science knowledge to improve the efficiency of processes and develop new methods and compounds. My goal is to pursue positions in scientific and engineering consultancy, where I can apply my technical expertise to assist companies in process and product development. With a strong background in materials engineering, I am well-versed in using techniques such as SEM/EDX, XPS, XRD, FT-IR, TG-DTA, DSC, AFM, and DLS to characterize and optimize materials performance. My PhD and MSc projects included designing and fabricating a biopolymer-based controlled-release system for agrochemicals via coaxial direct ink writing, and developing non-enzymatic electrochemical glucose sensors with copper oxide. My current PhD project is on green machining to enable mold-free fabrication of advanced ceramics.Selected as one of the 100 Leaders of Tomorrow in Biotechnology at GapSummit 2022, I have connected with innovators and gained valuable insights. I have also been selected to participate in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship certificate program with a Presidential Scholarship at OneLeague, which has helped me stay connected to the current entrepreneurship ecosystem and develop a strong understanding of the business side of innovation as a materials scientist. If you\'re interested in collaborating or learning more about my work, please feel free to reach out.
