The Constitutional Council, created by the 1958 Constitution (5th Republic), oversees the conformity of laws with the Constitution and the regularity of elections and referendums in France.Since 2019, the Council has been modernizing and internalizing its most critical IT tools. As such, I have been assigned to strengthen the team in charge of developing the new case and decision management tool, the cornerstone of the institution\'s activities and those of its stakeholders. This project presents major challenges, as it must reflect in an almost trivial way (both in the code and in its use) all the technical and legal notions specific to the Board- Addition of new functionalities: search for cases, decisions and documents, messaging, creation of new cases and flow management- Reduction of technical debt through fundamental and structuring work- Development of technical POCs- Consulting on architectural choices and code quality- Increase automated test coverageThe project, which is currently being rolled out to the Council\'s agents, is considered a success and has been hailed by the Council\'s senior officials. I contributed to improving the project\'s velocity, while maintaining high code quality. My involvement in the technical and architectural choices brought significant value.
