Suncor Energy, Base Plant, Alberta, Canada – Fort McMurray – DBQ - SE project, FEED and Detailed Engineering Phases ($340M). The Diluted Bitumen Quality (DBQ) Project is sited in Secondary Extraction (SE). The Pre-FEED phase was done by another Engineering company. We were able at Worley to overturn the status of the project and finish the FEED phase within 6 months instead of the expected 9 months and had one of the best grades the client has given so far. The Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA) team was key to the success of this phase with the home office and the support office in Nanjing and Beijing, China, aligned and seamlessly working together in putting the extra effort to keep up with the project numerous changes and tight schedule. The brown field project included a major CSA scope, including a new large 2-storey process building, large IPS vessels, 2-storey Ehouse and transformer foundations, miscellaneous pipe and cable tray supports, and modifications and additions to existing structures. The project had a large number of modules, in addition the large 2-storey process building was panelized, where most of the building was pre-assembled off site in panels. Suncor Energy, Fort Hills, Alberta, Canada – Fort Hills – OPTA EAST - Detailed Engineering ($900M)The Civil / Structural / Architectural lead with the work including a major Civil and structural scope. The work includes a large workshare component and interfaces with geotechnical consultants, and all the major disciplines.

Civil / Structural Engineer with over 25 years of experience. Leading diverse teams in different physical locations and time zones and aligning them on the project goals and team spirit and have them fully engaged, and ensuring the engineering deliverables are completed within the project scope, schedule, and budget and with consistently high quality. He is also experienced in giving technical presentations and mentoring, preparing studies and reports, performing technical audits and peer reviews.
