ABOUT AYLIN B. ATILGAN RELYEA
Aylin Baris Atilgan holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University English Department. She is specialized in Second Language Studies/Second Language Writing. Some of her research focuses on multi-lingual learners, their needs and education in the United States, the impact of culture on learning and needs analysis of Chinese students\' writing needs in composition courses and effective teaching pedagogies and curriculum design. Atilgan is also a Turkish-English Interpreter doing freelance work serving nationally and internationally. She has worked actively in international student/scholars organizations in order to promote diversity and peace education in the U.S. She has also served in orphanages and senior homes as well as international arts festivals in Turkey and in the U.S. and feels philanthropic service to others has been the most satisfying experience in her life enabling her to connect with others at a deeper level.
