Supervises and directs all Shift Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, and Housekeeping.Confers with management and other department heads to plan and manage PM programs to ensure production is supported. Coordinates the maintenance responsibility of particular zones to specific engineers and/or technicians that align with productions support needed at any time.Oversees scheduling and follow-through of inspections and major overhauls in coordination with other operating activities while evaluating efficiency and workmanship.Analyze logs and written records of PM programs and parts inventory to ensure they are properly maintained by staff.Responsible for maintaining adequate inventories of machine parts and supplies that are considered critical and in good operating condition. Assist with inspection, troubleshooting, and disassemblment/malfunctioning machinery to determine cause of trouble and type of repairs required when support is required. Actively reviews and assists with implementation of safety procedures and/or processes as they pertain to equptment as to certify the most safe and cost-effective process is used. Serves as a key member of Safety Committee and supervises day-to-day maint. practices to confirm OSHA and Company compliance standards are maintained. Responsible for air, noise, and other miscellaneous pollution abatement and control in accordance with existing industry, company, and OSHA guidelines.Assists with research and development other projects as assigned.
