Management position, delivering scientific support across BAT for all categories, to a wide network of internal stakeholders across the globe including within Research and Science, Product Development and Operations functions. As part of a small team in the Analytical Services Operations department with knowledge of the capabilities of a large network of internal/external laboratories, requestors are routed to the appropriate laboratory based on data requirements. • Provision of technical support to internal stakeholders for development and validation of new methods and for design of complex studies using existing methods, including selection of appropriate laboratories.• Qualification and validation of laboratories for new capabilities - through assessment of methods, ISO17025 accreditation and partnering with Quality Assurance to execute relevant audits and registering suppliers on the internal quality management system.• Management of several third-party supplier relationships, with the team acting as point of contact and escalation route, and monitoring of KPIs• For the measurement of common analytes in BAT products at several laboratories within the network, the team lead method harmonisation activities and interlaboratory comparisons.• As team manager, delegating work appropriately to direct reports, supporting with prioritisation to ensure workloads are managed, regular 1:1s and team meetings to support team vision and individual career development, including stretch opportunities for direct reports to engage with senior stakeholders.
