In May 2024 I graduated from the Fordham Gabelli School of Business with a Masters of Accounting, where I pursued the accounting, audit and advisory track. To undertake my Masters I was honored to be awarded a highly-competitive prestigious Deloitte Foundation Scholarship, a full tuition scholarship based on my undergraduate grades and my demonstrated passion and interest in auditing. I have started a full-time audit & assurance role at Deloitte in their office in New York City. I am working to complete my CPA. I am enjoying my new job and am able to use the practical skills and experience that I gained from three different accounting internships that I did during the completion of my undergraduate degree. Developing skills from undertaking onsite client audits has benefited my ability to develop strong client relations quickly, and also to assess their compliance and internal controls; this will positively impact my ability to gain my CPA license in a timely manner.I grew up in Wellington, New Zealand and have dual citizenship with the United States. Through traveling and being far from home, I see myself as adaptive and an excellent problem solver, and I am resilient and well-organized. I know the importance of working as a team through my role as captain of the women\'s tennis team during my undergraduate degree. St Thomas Aquinas College won the East Coast Conference in 2022. I am excited about my new career and look forward to seeing where the accounting field takes me.
