I teach courses on African literatures (Anglophone and Afrophone), world literature and postcolonial literature. I advice students in these areas of studies. My research dominantly focus on the Horn of Africa, particularly literatures in two widely spoken Ethiopian languages, Afan Oromo and Amharic. Key themes include literary multilingualism, orature in literary texts, gender in literature, feminist theories etc.
