ABOUT AYDIN DORTOK M. D.
I am medical doctor with post-graduate business and market access degrees. I have more than twenty years of experience in corporate side in global, regional and local roles in pharma industry and six years as a consultancy agency founder & leader in Turkey. My agency gave support to many international companies not only in pharma, medical devices and diagnostics sectors but also other health related sectors such as food industry. At pharma industry, I assumed different Global, Regional & Local Pharma Executive roles in six countries; Turkey, Australia, Switzerland, USA, Poland and Italy. I managed a broad range of line functions; marketing & sales, general management, medical, market access and pricing, communications, public affairs, patient advocacy, registration, and project management in different therapeutic areas and with two global product launches of Glivec® in oncology/hematology field. My last role at Novartis Oncology before starting my own business was the Head of External Affairs for Region Europe as a steering (executive) committee member and I was responsible for 27 countries for patient advocacy, public affairs, communications, market access and pricing. I also represented EFPIA and EuropaBio at various oncology projects of EU. I have established my consultancy business in the UK four years ago.
