ABOUT AYDEN UPCHURCH

I\'m a dual-degree student at Florida State University, pursuing a B.S. in Economics and Finance with a 3.92 GPA and a deep passion for the intersection of public policy, business strategy, and social impact. Through my academic work and hands-on experiences, I’ve developed a strong foundation in both analytical problem-solving and people-first leadership. My professional journey spans diverse settings—from Capitol Hill to fast-paced hospitality and community service. As an Interim Staff Assistant in Congressman Greg Steube’s office, I supported legislative research, constituent casework, and policy briefings tied to over 60 sponsored and co-sponsored bills. That experience sparked my interest in how legislation shapes economic systems and everyday lives. In the private sector, I served as an Assistant Manager at Chick-fil-A, where I led a team in one of the region’s highest-volume stores, handling operations, training, and over in daily transactions. As a Resident Assistant and Committee Head with FSU Housing, I’ve continued to build my leadership and communication skills by boosting team morale and promoting student engagement through strategic marketing and events.Beyond work and academics, I co-founded the Riverview Community Garden, where we implemented a sustainable, self-watering food source to help combat student food insecurity. I also spent four years as a Teen Attorney with Sarasota Teen Court, where I advocated for restorative justice approaches in over 150 youth cases.I’m passionate about creating value—whether that’s through policy, financial analysis, or community-centered leadership. I’m always open to opportunities that allow me to connect ideas, lead with empathy, and make a tangible impact.
