Nuclear Engineer (Edison Engineering Development Program)
Jul 2024 — Present · Wilmington, NC, US
As an engineer at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy in GE Vernova\'s Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP), I will support four different engineering teams during a two-year rotational program. In my first rotation, I worked on the Reactor Physics Technology (RPT) team to improve nuclear fuel burnup predictive models. In my second rotation I was an engineer on the Fuel and Packaging Design (F & PD) team working on mechanical design of our fuel products, including performing stress and thermal analyses as well as ensuring that our manufacturing facilities will be ready to produce future designs. Currently in my third rotation, I am supporting the Advanced Application Engineering team in support of reducing the cost of future BWRX-300 units, GVH\'s new SMR.
