ABOUT AYATAKSHEE SARKAR
I am a faculty member of Organizational Behaviour at XLRI Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, with over 15 years of combined academic and industry experience. My work explores the intersections of human dignity, restorative practices, nonviolence, and spirituality in organizations, with a focus on how individuals and institutions can foster dignity, well-being, and ethical conduct in the workplace.Before joining academia, I worked across IT, energy, and insurance sectors, gaining first-hand experience in people processes, leadership development, and organizational culture. These industry insights continue to inform my teaching and research, helping me bridge practice with humanistic inquiry.My research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals. I also serve as a reviewer for several Scopus-indexed journals and regularly present my work at premier international conferences including AOM, EGOS, and EURAM.As a Fellow of the International Humanistic Management Association and a Dr. D.C. Pavate Fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School, I am deeply committed to advancing human-centered and values-driven management education. Alongside research, I design and facilitate executive programs on leadership, team building, and workplace wellbeing for professionals across sectors.I believe that leadership begins with self-awareness, and that restoring human dignity in organizations is essential to building humane, inclusive, and sustainable workplaces.
