   I have four beautiful students (my children) who attend Murray Homeschool Academy. Each year I focus on curriculum development and implementation. The curriculum is specialized and geared to each specific student, however, we do have mandatory foreign language and computer coding as required subjects. As a seasoned educator, I am able to share my expertise at school, parent conferences, and workshops. I want to share with others the ways to empower our youth and one way I have done that is by co-authoring a book with my daughter\'s, Jayda and Anaya Murray. Publishing the \"Bear Learns to Share\" children\'s picture book, coloring and activity book with them has been one of my greatest joys. i will be working on a graphic novel in the near future with my teenage sons. The goal is to empower, equip, and encourage the next generation.My role also involves serving as a high school career counselor in which I guide my students towards an educational path that will lead them to their greatest success. Connecting with colleges and company recruiters allows me to expose my students to the best opportunities from around the world. I also have the privilege of partnering with CareerVillage.org so that I can share my knowledge and expertise with underserved youth in the United States.I believe that each student is filled with their own greatness and part of knowing their greatness is knowing their history. Due to my passion for history, I have started writing a series of non-fiction and historical fiction books for children with a focus on African American history. My picture book,\"Keep Moving Forward, Henry!\" is about my father serving as one of the first black firemen in my hometown. It shares about his experience fighting fires but also fighting fires of hate. I truly believe that stories can help change the world and if I can help steer children and parents towards kindness, empathy, compassion, understanding-then I have done my job.
