An acknowledged mentor and leader with a proven track record of bringing budding design engineers to become independent and move to the next level in the technical ladder.Currently, leading the design enablement team at Sandisk to develop the flows and methodologies for next-generation ASICs. Also working on the assessment of the newer technology nodes.Before joining SanDisk, I was leading the digital circuit design at Intel microprocessor core on the latest sub-micron technology. My core area of expertise includes- Semi-custom digital circuit design- Synthesizing VHDLs to obtain gate-level netlist- Physical design netlist to the layout- Planning data paths and IP placements- Pin placement, metal contracts, and logic implementation planning- Design for speed to meet high-performance Processor frequency- Design for power to meet tight constraints for System P Processors- Physical verification, SEM fixes, coupling fixes.Before joining Intel, I was leading the Common Library Design Team, which caters to both P and Z processor designs at IBM. Staying converged with different specs from two products is the biggest challenge. It includes re-defining specs for the designs, converging on them based on inputs, and executing and maintaining them.I am actively involved in defining new methodologies and improving the existing ones. I lead the effort to architect a new buffering solution for designs having multiple usages across projects and units.My other interests are 3D ICs, Reliability issues in digital designs, and Engineering Change Order.Before joining IBM, I was a lecturer, where I offered courses on Digital circuit design, VLSI design and guided several projects on robotics.
