I worked with Penguin Random House India-SEA, leading print schedules for the Penguin Select imprint. I collaborated closely with the Senior Editor to ensure seamless editing, proofreading, and production of licensed titles, originals, translations, and out-of-copyright books. I managed vendor relationships, supervised freelance proofreaders and typesetters, and assisted in curating classics, translations, and licensing programs while monitoring copyright changes and market trends on Amazon and social media.My role included assisting in the ideation of new titles, managing authors, maintaining Airtable, creating Biblios in BiblioSuite, developing A+ content, writing blurbs, copyediting books and covers, and coordinating with in-house design and production teams to finalize books for publication.Additionally, I built a robust pool of freelance writers and proofreaders for the Penguin Select imprint and worked on original titles by bestselling authors like Darius Foroux and also on important Turkish translations like Izmirli. Through this role, I gained valuable insights into copyediting, proofreading, commissioning, anticipating market trends, analyzing sales, and managing teams and high-profile authors.
