ABOUT AYAH ALI
As Benjamin Franklin once said:\"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.\" 🩺 Growing up, I moved around a lot. This allowed me to be exposed to many different communities with differing qualities of life. Time and time again, I witnessed the same theme of how investing in health preventively leads to long-term positive outcomes. To have a long-lasting impact on the health of an individual or community, one should focus on building systems and programs that meet people’s needs proactively rather than reactively. Fast-forward to today, preventive health has been my life’s work. By building a career that bridges the gap between scientific, medical and governmental communities, I’ve developed a unique skill set designed to create action and generate results. I also come with experience in overseeing programs with 6-figure budgets, contracts/grants, human capital, and consultant and/or vendor resources and significant global exposure obtained by living and/or working and volunteering in Canada, the United States, United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. Communities are diverse, so I engage as a multilingual communicator, fluent in both English and Arabic. My career highlights include: 3+ years of experience in Public Health and holding a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) Proven health program management through initiating/managing 10+ programs has resulted in a remarkable 2,800% increase in health screenings for students and a 10% increase in access to/utilization of health services. Successful health education campaigning through the implementation of an oral health education and literacy campaign, utilizing 5+ media platforms, resulted in an impressive impressions, effectively disseminating oral health promotional materials to the public. Well-established grant writing that has secured substantial funding of approximately $1M for a Medtech Startup and for a state government If you would like to chat about preventive health and how your organization can better its preventive health program or project, feel free to message me on LinkedIn or email me at a••••••••@gmail.com!
