ABOUT AYA ABDELFATAH
Aya is not only a people person in the social realm, but she also believes in the importance for designing for humans. She thus strives to spark social change by offering people a better quality of life through urban spaces. Aya is a licensed architect with 8 years of work experience and is a graduate from the Masters of Urban Design program at the University of British Columbia. She excels not only in theoretical classes/studios, but she has proven as a valuable asset by having her studio project, along with her team, be presented to the False Creek South Community in their consideration for future development. The proposal was also presented to City Counsellors and is being considered for the city-wide-plan. Aya gained professional work experience both as an Architect/Interior Designer in Cairo, as well as a teaching assistant at AUC and UBC. She is currently an Associate Urban Designer and Project Manager at Arcadis.
