ABOUT AYA LAASSEL

Undergraduate student at American University pursuing a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Spanish as part of the Pre-Medicine program. I’m passionate about understanding the connection between the brain, behavior, and mental health - particularly within the fields of psychiatry and neurology.My experience spans both clinical and research environments, including work in psychopharmacology research, medical translation, and patient care. Through these experiences I have developed research, clinical, and patient skills. I have also developed strong interpersonal and organizational skills through roles involving customer service, team management, and event coordination. As a native Arabic speaker with proficient Spanish ability, I am also eager to continue building experiences that combine science, medicine, and human connection.
