Hello! I\'m Aya, a Sudanese student and aspiring development economist, double majoring in Quantitative Economics and Mathematics with a minor in Statistics & Data Science.I\'m deeply committed to using data to drive social change, with research interests in cash transfers, poverty alleviation, and aid effectiveness in conflict-affected regions. My mission is to create evidence-based solutions that address systemic economic challenges and promote equity in low-income communities.I feel a deep responsibility to give back — especially because I\'m not currently in Sudan — and I see economics as my way of contributing to positive, lasting change. One day, I aim to return and work on reducing poverty across Sudan and the African continent.When I\'m not diving into economics, you\'ll find me creating videos for my YouTube channel, Rise with Aya, where I share insights on personal growth and empowerment — or volunteering with UWC Sudan national committee to select and mentor the next generation of Sudanese change-makers.Let\'s connect if you\'re also driven to create meaningful, equitable change.
